Open recall on Scion FRS.

Maybe I was the only one who didn't know about this.
I just called one of the scion dealer in seattle area (Scion of Puyallup to be exact) for an oil change and they also told me that there was an open recall regarding engine software.
They said they need to update and reflash the engine.
I am not sure if this addresses the chirping or RPM drop at idle issues but there is definitely an open recall.
I will find out more details this Saturday.
Just giving you heads up.

I got the notice in the mail regarding this a couple weeks back. I'll be having it done when I get my 7500 service next month.

I got mine in the mail. When they do that I've going to have them address the TSB's for the H2O in the tail lights and the not-so-flush body panels.

It isn't a big deal, just a change in the parameters on the California emissions protocol. The recall even states that the change doesn't effect performance or MPG.
