Ok, that's a start. But just because there's an offset between the AFR curves doesn't mean the two vehicles are actually tuned richer. There's a lot you can figure out without having cracked the ECU. You just need to know where to look.

What we need now is to get a general scan tool and log at the very least:

1) Commanded lambda
2) ignition timing
3) short term fuel trim
4) long term fuel trim
5) engine rpm
6) wide range oxygen sensor equivalence ratio
7) diesel fuel rail pressure (this is PID is also used on GDI engines)
8) fuel system status (usually shows when the vehicle enters open loop/enrichment period)

There's a bunch of other stuff that might be available over the data bus. Use the attached latest parameter list from 2011. Compare the tailpipe data with the commanded equivalence ratio.

Just talked to a buddy of mine who thought that which set of load cells it's reading off of may differ depending on the gear it's in -- which gear was each in for the dyno?

So... at minimum, that may not be the best gear for the AT to see max power on a dyno. Definitely want to see output with same AFR and ignition advance.

Old thread but thought I'd bump this and say the OP dyno on the AT is inaccurate.

Just pulled two successive dynos and on a stock AT for my baseline peak HP is at 6542 rpm and torques at 3144 rpm. The curves look pretty much like the MT. Both runs pretty much lay right over each other except for a minor 2-4 tq/hp bump between 3-4k on the second run since the oil was warmed up. Torque rolls off at around 6400 rpm and Horse at just over 6800 rpm.

I did my last runs in 3rd gear. When we did the first run it was in 4th and the car struggled to get up to 7k and hovered.

What were your peak HP and TQ numbers? What kind of dyno?

Mustang dyno after Weather Correction Factor (WCF):
128.4 @ 6542
112.7 @ 3144

I'd post pics but autofocus on my cameraphone stopped working after my drink flew out of the cupholder on Ortega Hwy. Actually, it took the cupholder with it....

I plan on going back to test a TRD intake and might be able to do a screen cap of an overlay.
