Honestly as much as I believe the oil could go that long (it really probably could) I'd rather change it early, and I use their Amsoil EA filters as well 👌 amsoileverything lol
Curious to see your uoa 👍

You might want to top off the GTI with Mobil1 0W-40 as the regular Mobil1 5W-30 does not meet VW 502 specs, unless you're referring to the Mobil1 5W-30 ESP Euro oil. It's probably fine to thicken up the FR-S fill, but I would not be thinning out the GTI fill with an oil with a thinner viscosity and lower levels of anti-wear and detergents.

What is this VW 502 specs you speak of?

I've never used magic oils in my GTI and I don't intend to with the FR-S.

I've been using Mobil 1 5w-30 or Rotella T6 5w-40 plus dealer fills and I have never had a problem.

I use to use Mobil1 5W-30 but recently switched to 0W-40 Euro blend since the Zinc levels are much higher at the same price (1100PPM in the 0W-40 VS 900PPM in the 5W-30). Overall, it seems like a great oil that is readily available at a decent price. Should be good for the longevity of the turbo as well.

I just bought 6 quarts of Eneos Sustina off Amazon. First oil change outside of the dealer and putting on a Fumoto Valve with the nipple for easy draining now.

Read nothing but good things about the Eneos Sustina and even Tada San recommends it. Little pricey, but oil is important.

Using the same...well haven't used it yet cause I barely drive my car to need an oil change, but plan to use it once i require a oil change. However I don't think I'll get the Fumoto valve. I just don't like the idea of easy access to drain oil, prefer the drain plug method.

I put one on my fiance's car and now on my car.

Not to mention, Toyota did over-torque my drain plug and I ended up stripping the bolt entirely. I had to use a bolt extractor socket to finally remove it and drain the oil. It's things like that which make the Fumoto valve well worth the money.

I bought the one with the nipple extension so I can run a clear hose into my oil container with absolutely 0 mess. I'm also lowered 1.5" and the drain plug is not even close to being a problem with it hitting anything. There are other parts like the exhaust that hang lower in the rear section.

All future oil changes are going to be super easy and the plug will never have to be removed. Carefully hand torque it with a crescent wrench, but not too tight.

You know what buddy, I probably will consider it, no jokes but I had a dream about it hahaha

Anyways will try it out and see how I like it. I assume you only change it once? Not every oil change right?

That is correct. You can youtube it and find info all over the web about them. It's a one time plug change and never again. No crush washers needed, and even if you took your oil to get changed by someone else, the idiot can't overtorque your plug since all you do is flip a switch on the drain plug.

You will love it, I promise. I think I will get one for any car I work on going forward after the first one I bought.
