Sure. I mean, if I take a power washer and shove it in the gap, water will get in there. I've just never seen moisture get past the seal like this in any other car. And it's only on the driver's side. In the same conditions, the passenger side window doesn't have the same streaks.

I'm due for a service, and I think I need to make a warranty claim. This seems like something that could get a lot worse.
naw, it shouldn't..my 2013 had nearly the exact same wet spots as the OP whenever my car was in heavy rain or had gone through a car wash and over 60,000 miles it didn't get any worse..in fact I fixed it by keeping the seal clean & lightly lubricated. Perhaps it is dry out there in TX like in AZ. So far my 2016 hasn't had the same issue..

Maybe all just in what you are used to. We get so much torrential rain here that all my cars have done it. Both my windows streak the same but it is just another rainy day in Ontario thing. At least you don't get rain in the day that freezes solid at night. That really messes with things.

I should mention it intermittently squeaks when rolling up/down, as well, both in rain and dry conditions.

That is the wet guides. You can talk to them but I doubt there is anything they can do.
