Loud exhaust / Buddy Club Spec II exhaust help!

Hey all, decided to go with a catback system for my frs and have been looking at exhausts such as the Invidia N1, Borla SS catback, Buddy Club Spec II, and MXP to list a few. My cap is around a grand but fell in love with the Buddy Club Spec II exhaust. It's a straight pipe with a resonator and really screams that 2.0L boxer engine note. My issue is that I live in California (up-tight popo) and am worried that the exhaust will attract unwanted attention, even when not driving with WOT. I live in the suburbs and rarely pass 3k rpms when driving through my town. I'm pretty sure I can keep it under the decibal limit (I believe it's 95 db) but want to know what's your experience with loud exhaust and the police. Thanks guys.

Here's a link that shows the exhaust note at WOT: [ame]http://youtu.be/d0acMnucuuU[/ame]

IV never been pulled over for exhaust. Both my eclipse gsx and evolution were turbo back straight pipe with no cats or res. Though I'm in NJ which doesn't have bs car laws.

I can't comment on the Cali police and requirements, but as far as choices, you mention the MXP. It will be too quiet for your tastes from what it sounds. I wanted an exhaust that wasnt intrusive or too loud but my MXP might be too quiet. It has a great sound though.

Damn that vette sounds badass! I live in a residential neighborhood (Berkeley Hills, which is very hippie and eco-friendly neighborhood) and the second a loud exhaust goes by, everyone seems flustered and upset. I would never use the silencer because it sounds like ripping paper, but at around 500 bucks the catback exhaust is a steal. BC II with Catless header and catless front pipe would sound monstrous

I was interested in the MXP because of the beauty of the design. It's nice to look at whereas the Buddy Club (with the single exit) is a bit on the rough side. Ever think about adding a front pipe with the MXP? sure it sounds great

That will be my next mod right after springs. I know Adam at No Limit had the front pipe on his car and liked it. Mackin also had a video with it, and it did sound good.

It really is a great looking exhaust. I love it.

i think if you dont rev higher than 3k you'll be ok i dont think they will get mad as long as your not gettin on it and being a fool, they would only really be able to complain at that point or if its late late at night and the drone vibrates windows lol ive dont that in my vett before haha people dont like that much

That silver bullet of yours... is... badass! Will be buying from you guys btw, and will buy the "because racecar" sticker as it will explain to people who look at my car and question the loud exhaust

Haha I saw that video of you revving it, always wondered what exhaust you had. Tried searching for rocket bunny exhaust but couldn't find anything
