Which was worse for the "scene"?

In our "scene" the Nissan Skyline and the Toyota Supra are regarded as teh uberest of the uber kanoober...

And I have wondered...why?

Are all of us really legit tuners and have been to car shows?

Or is it we dominated Gran Turismo 1 with our 948 hp Skyline because it was AWD and you could bounce off of walls and drive like a fucking retard and still win?

Or is it Paul Walker walking down a Ferrari asshole in the "Fast and the Furious"

So which was it for you?

It was Gran Turismo for me. After I graduated High School, I bought a Playstation One and bought Gran Turismo when it came out. And that was the start of my unhealthy addiction with cars from the 80's and 90's.

I have owned 3 AW11 because that was the car that I could ALWAYS start with in the Gran Turismo series and whoop up through the early races until I could buy teh full retard car of the current game (R33 or Pikes Peak Car from GT2...)

Yep Gran Turismo it was for me. The early GT games made the Skyline out to be the fastest car ever lol. I do like Skylines now but they're are far from my favorite car.

The Supra is one of my favorite cars of all time. Main reason being that when I was about 14 (just getting into cars around then) I was riding my bike down my street one day when a silver MKIV Supra pulled up next to me. I stared at it for a good min and instantly fell in love.

Definitely GT.

Damn teenagers playing the game think you can get ridiculous HP on any car based on the fact that "GT has a stage 3 turbo kit, must be legit"

Also, random crap like this:

And one of my favorite cars to use in GT has alway been the Toms Castrol Supra, which I just recently found out has a turbo 4cyl engine and not a 2JZ (mind blown!)

This was the one for me. I must have raced this on midfield race track a million times. It was great. If you put it on expert and won, you would get that Skyline for winning plus a ton of cash. Then you sell the car (bc you already have it) for more cash. lol.

Oh man talk about memories. The next GT game should have all of the classic GT tracks included in it.

The F&F1 Ferrari asshole was driving a 355 Berlinetta. Even if it was GTS trim, it had a whopping 381hp @ 8,250 RPM and 268 ft/lbs @ 6,000 RPM. It should have been a day in the park for a built supra to walk on him. There are cars on this forum that could walk on him.

I still use this car in GT6, it is tuned to rotate easily and is a no-drama car for me (compared to the LFA)

Here's some funny trivia:

"What is the fastest car that you can start out with on Forza Motorsport"

The "sprinter trueno". Known to us as the AE86.

And what car could beat a McLaren if it had all the upgrades?

A Porsche 914

OP live his life a quarter mile at a time...

The poll is either you like the car because of video games or you've driven the car; and the other option is you like the car because you are a poser.

Let me tell yah something. You're "scene" is not my "scene". The fast and the furious movies tried to dramatize my "Scene" from the early 90s. Then YOUR scene came and F'd it all up, a quarter mile at a time.

Where's the option for liking these cars because they are actually great cars?

I haven't driven an R32, but have seen it at car shows and read all the old reviews. Would love to drive one. I have had friends with different generation supras that I have been able to ride in and/or drive. I still prefer the MKIII out of those (I have a thing for the 80's imports), but the MKIV is a great car.
