I think if there are any changes in store for my car (updates to the ESC or maybe a header), I will ask Moto-Mike to put my car on his dyno so I can see the results. Being that I have exhaust mods (and light weight wheels) I think my car will dyno well.

I looking forward to @jpit result with Bob @Drift-Office. Maybe just maybe he can share some insight as to how to get some leaner AFR's between 2000 and 4000

are you sure about this? i've opened a brzedit tune (saved 'for personal edition') in other software (tunerpro and romraider) and they're encrypted, just a bunch of junk data. actually won't even open in romraider because they change the value/location/both of the calid. this is with an 'unlocked' brzedit file, not a regular one.

now of course if you pull your existing brzedit tune off of your car with another tool that's all well and good i guess, as it's obviously not encrypted when written to the ecu. but if someone just sends you an 'unlocked' brzedit file you won't be able to edit it with anything other than brzedit personal edition (for $250). at least i wasn't able to.

The lowest I've seen my AFR go (from my ECU) while under boost is 11.8:1. This is around 4000 rpm. Otherwise I'm 12.0 to 12.5:1. It's fairly stable too. I really need to get something that works with my ELM327 that I can do some data logging with so I can provide print outs.

Thats probably as low as it reads....certainly if it doesnt change from 11.8 you are lower than that.

Our car does not have a wideband. If you pin it at 2500rpm and you get a bunch of 11.8's you are running richer for what its worth

I'm thinking there should be a fourth for the internet, "those who can't critique, troll."

That is not a shot at you, by the way. I'm looking forward to hearing how the whole Physics/Voc Tech thing works out.

@Robftss
MAF update plans? Seems to be a real weak link, especially with the larger compressor.
I'm bouncing in and out of the thread so I might have missed something. Anything in the works?

Problem is tuning the flow down low is hard... At least with brz edit. Bob seems to have it figured out with ecu tek. Toma didn't have enough time to play with it and figure out what worked.

It does go lower. The AFR I gave before was where I engaged the ESC at 3000 to 3500 rpm.

I had to run some errands, and with this on my mind I thought I'd take a closer look at my AFR's.

Engaged the ESC @ 2000 rpm and the AFR went to 11.2. As I passed 4000 I saw it climb to 11.8. At 5000 it was at 12.2 and it stayed there until redline. I did several similar runs and got the same result.

I don't consider these too rich. It is my understanding that the target AFR at WOT (boosted) is ~12.0.

Under normal load my AFR's are running 14.5 to 14.7.

Once again impressive results! I'm not 100% a fan of actual whp numbers from dynos, especially with significant atmospheric correction, but I did some % diff numbers according to your baseline - were all those runs done at the same time/dyno?
