We design our turbo system to accommodate the GT30XX turbos. If you run the GTX3076R turbo, that's capable of flowing 550whp. Optionally, you can also run the largest GTX3582R turbo which can flow 650+whp.

Well that is a great technical reason for the price.

So I started installing my kit yesterday... I have all the turbo/exhaust pieces and coolant/oil lines in now. What's left are the oil scavenging pump and the intake/intercooler pipes. I have to say... WOW!!! Fitment is absolutely spot on, lines/hoses are cut to the ideal length, and the instructions are as detailed as can be. Can't wait to have everything together.

Does anyone have this kit installed with the Robispec oil cooler/radiator? I haven't mounted the intercooler yet, but it looks like it'll be a tight fit between it and the AC condenser... which is now pushed forward by the Robispec.

So as I understand this you use stock header with this kit. Are people installing their own in catted headers then, or is the consensus to not worry of stock cat degrading and throwing particles into this turbo? Please correct me if I'm wrong here, thanks.

Yes, you can use the stock header... I'm bolting mine up to a JDL UEL.

I knew you could. I think I'd be concerned in doing so however due to cats nature of eventually losing internal product from cat...

This should not be a concern with a good tune on pump gas. Those that are looking to run high boost and make big power on race gas or E85 will be upgrading to a non-stock header anyhow. So again, at the power levels that we are able to achieve on pump gas, we don't foresee this as a potential problem.

Here are some sneak peak pics of our soon to be released PTUNING 4-1 Race Header. It is modeled after our 4-1 prototype header with a few changes. Per our usual goal of achieving the highest possible output with best overall powerband, we'll only be producing an equal length version of this 4-1 race header. Pricing will be competitive with the other premium quality headers on the market.

Some of the key design features that we're carrying over from our prototype.

- 4-1 double-slip race style merge collector (negates need for flex bellows, etc) with either a bolt-together or spring loaded interference fit (TBD).
- Rotational firing order for optimum cylinder scavenging.
- Shortest possible secondary pipe length to our turbo overpipe inlet for awesome transient response with our turbo set-up.
- Will fit with the factory front metal heatshield without modifications or spacers.
- T304 American-made stainless steel one-piece mandrel bent primary runners for the best look, flow, weight, and reliability.
- Unlike turbo headers, our header will not need to support the weight of a turbo and downpipe so the header should live a fairly happy life.
- T304 SS PTUNING-Spec CNC machined head flanges (2-3x the cost of mild steel CNC or laser cut flanges) meaning they will never rust.
- Fully polished and color tig welded connections.
- Will be manufactured right here in the USA.

@ptuning

When will that header be available, any eta? Also will there be coating options? Looks good so far that's for sure.

Also wondering if any more work on additional frame bracing has went under way since this design loses the diagonal stock bracing etc...

I hate asking so many questions...

I know the kit comes with a down pipe and over pipe..I plan on running this kit with a catless header. Is it possible to fit a catted down pipe?
