Welp this just happened to me. I'm outside of warranty though, what's the cheapest route to getting a passenger visor mount replaced? Only my mount broke, the visor is fine. '13 FRS.

Ebay, and needing a passenger's side you should have more availability since most that break seem to be driver's side. I went without for awhile due to that and it sucked. Sun in the eyes = bad!

Both of mine have broken. Right side was the doohickey inside the visor that the shaft spins on shifted. I got replacement from dealer. A few weeks later the left drivers base cracked like as seen in this thread. I have yet to attempt to take the base from passenger and put on drivers. Its not exactly the same but looks close enough it might work. But the base might crack trying to remove and install that piece, it isn't really designed to be removed.

I was told by Toyota that the entire thing is one part, base and visor.

Driver side broke around 25k, replaced under waranty. Now at 45k passenger broke, had to eat the cost and buy a new one. Installed it and 2 days later drivers side broke again. Has anyone found a good epoxy or glue that works? I tried a 2 part gorrilla glue (similar to jbweld) and the glue just peeled right off and didnt do anything.

Mine is still good so far but after reading all this somebody should make a steel/aluminum version base to swap in there. I never looked to see how it's put together but can you just
break the plastic off and replace it like that? Also has anybody tried taking one from another car and bolting it up there if it has the same two screw in the same spot?

I found this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2522820 Have no idea what to do with that but can't that be used to create a metal version?

Just a bump: I tried the Thingverse 3D print linked above for the visor mount. They have a "Craftcloud" printing service that selects the cheapest vendor for what you want.

I ordered one in black nylon and received it six days later for $10.68 shipped. Rough texture, but no one would notice unless you pointed it out. We'll see if it lasts very long.

My passenger side one broke after using the sun visors to hold a sun shade for just a month. Very frustrating.

Thanks Impureclient & JimR. I just ordered that Thingiverse 3D printed part in black finished nylon from Craftcloud. I ordered 2 of them (total $25 including shipping) so it’ll match on each side. I’ll post when I receive them and install them.
