Worn floor mats - Covered under bumper to bumper warranty?

So I've had my BRZ for about 2,600 miles and my floor mats are already showing signs of wear. I could easily replace them with some rubber mats and be good to go, but thats money out of my pocket for something that should have lasted longer. Plus I'd like to have a set of good condition OEM mats since I plan on having the car for a long time.

So, does anyone know if the Subaru 36k bumper to bumper warranty will cover floor mats? Yeah its minor and stupid, but they shouldn't wear out in 2,600 miles on a $30,000 car.

Mine is starting on the fr-s too with only 2.8k, but I'm not too worried about it

If they are not covered under warranty then @RedLeader makes some kick ass heel plates with the brz or frs logo on them

I'm not too worried about it either. But if they will give me a new set just for asking, and I'm entitled to it, then why not? Also, if it does work this could be good info for everyone else with the same issue.

I do recall seeing a heel plate mod on the forums for what I'm assuming was this same issue. Now I know who to search for if I go that direction, thanks!

There's all-coverage Weathertech units...not really rubber, not really plastic (some kind of polymer). I'm not sure you'd call them "sporty" though. They are very good in my opinion and use the stock retainer clips.

Those are what I want to avoid, and falls into my mental category of "rubber".. I am looking for a nicer fabric version. personal preference ... I think as a child I was abused by rubber floormats...

I had Subaru all-weather mats that were about 1cm thick rubber...these are very different.

You could look into Coco mats or whatever they're called, @bestwheelbase has posted the link to their website before. Very cool and still retain that "sporty" character you're looking for, I think.

The best option may just be a heel-pad installed to your already messed up stock mats...they're messed up so cutting a hole or two (or taping it?) shouldn't be a problem.

It does not look to be a easy solution, you need to special order anything that has the retainers, unless I am looking at the wrong site. their product though does not look like what I am looking for anyway, while it does look rugged-er...

Milled aluminum heel pad.

Still go to your dealer...I want to know if the mats are covered.
