Don't hate me, best coilovers as a daily commuter?
Just like the title says, also please don't hate me. I've been lookin around and see a lot of people suggest KW, or ST as the greater quality coilovers. Also I have read BC and Megan are more on the lower quality side of coilovers, however they drop you like a mofo. I love the look of being slammed, but since I have to commute I do not think that is the best idea. I would be happy with having no wheel gap. As if now I commute about 250miles every weekend, that is excluding weekdays, which would roughly be 100miles. So in total around 350miles would be driven in my baby per week. Sad, I know I hate to see my miles go up! So at the end of al of this, my question is, which coilovers are best to use as a daily commuter as well as giving me that drop!
Thanks 86ers Fam! -Tieniepoop |

What's your budget, what wheel type, size, and width, and what brand and model tire are planning on running? Is your priority basically ride height and comfort? Will the car ever see track use?

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't add those in, tbh I'm pretty new to the scene I don't really know much about wheels yet. I think I wanna go 18x9.5. I'm looking more into the comfort side snd just want to cover the wheel gap is fine for me, since I'm going to be commuting weekly. I probably will never go to the track.

I have a pretty long commute and the st's have been great for me. I have them set nearly at max height and there is about a finger and a half of wheel gap. Very comfortable ride. It sits a little bit higher now with my new wheels.

I asked a similar question in a thread last week-ish, except I didn't want a drop. But any of these coilover systems will give you enough of a drop to close the wheel gap.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100202 If I do go with coilovers, I'll probably get the Tein Flex A or RCE Tarmac Zeros. |

Thank you guys for all the help! I also read through your thread PandaSPUR, and it helped a lot. As of now I think I am going to be going with either Tein flex, street basis, or ST. Which of three would you guys choose?
