I'm another service writer there - I'm James at the red desk.

He came to me about your car the other day looking for some advice.

I've had 4 replaced (5 total) pumps so far, over 41,000 miles.

Our local Field Engineer has used my car as a test bed. Mainly because they know I'm not going to lemon the car or take them to court. Right now there's over $24,000 in warranty replacement dollars on my car.

No recall will happen - it's not a defective part or a safety concern. Other HPFPs out there make noise across a lot of brands.

The fix in the works is an insulated cover for the pump and no further changes are likely mechanically to the pump.

Try to find ethanol free gas. I've had good luck with BP gas so far, but now I really just don't care.

Good lord, that's a lot of money in warranty replacement. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain all of this to me, thank you very much. You going to the 86 expo in VA?

Rode next to an Ultramarine FR-S on Easton Ave today. I was on my bike. We had an awkward moment.
