Well today was rather disappointing...
Although we pushed pretty hard, the Cayuga circuit is well suited for high HP cars. The 500+ HP Firebird secured top spot ahead of Team Scion. Although we hustled the car pretty hard and managed less than a second behind, we ended up 7th. The afternoon long track was equally taxing, and we ended up 8th about 2.5 secs off Team Scion at their home track. The CanJam WRX was back in action and easily secured a top laptime of 1:19 a whole 3 seconds ahead of Team Scion in 2nd. Top Speed Challenge. Rolling start at 40k, then hammer it at the tree for a half-mile run. Umm, what could we do... We rolled up the windows. 180 kmh. 3rd last, ahead of the Miata and a stock 944. GTR didn't realize he should slow down after the half mile, then saw end of track and hammered on the brakes, blew through right and into the sandtrap. 260 kmh BTW. Trans Am has easily over 500hp. His brakes locked up and he got into the trap too and shifted all his front suspension mounts. 240 kmh. Team Scion in 1st overall got a 202. The old Studebaker got a very respectable 219. Video of them on track. Good news is we have a pretty good gap to 3rd place, so still pretty solid 2nd overall with the next 2 days more suited to our car. 2 TA's on shorter twisty circuits, plus 3 Autox and 1 drag (bracket racing). Tomorrow we are in Grand Bend. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk |

Just in case anyone is up for it...
Some friends and myself are doing a twisty roads run tomorrow (Sunday). We will be leaving the Tim Horton's in Tweed at 10am, and doing a backroads run heading back in the direction of Ottawa. Tweed is approx. 2 hours West of Ottawa and just south of Hwy 7. I know it is short notice, but the decision was just made last night. If you are interested, post here, or shoot me a PM, and I will PM you my cell number.

Is there someone on here that has a Firestorm FRS with aftermarket wheels in the Bel Air Heights neighbourhood of Nepean? I just moved here for school and I've got the twin to yours.
Your neighbour. |
