that didn't work for me. It read the rom just fine but the tune icon was greyed out. I figured it was because i had a 700G ecu.

Unplug it and plug it back in,

If still no go yeah maybe it does not have that old rom type in .dev database. If you wre in Brisbane I could flash you to A01G

My OFT did not have any tunes on it. After I downloaded my stock rom from my car, I came back into the house and downloaded the tune files onto my OFT (now Tune was no longer grayed out). After that, then I was able to load a tune onto my car. I think before all that I uploaded the TOY04400.dev file onto my OFT. Anyways, that's what I did yesterday when I received my OFT in the mail.

Did you ever have a previous tune by any chance? That's the only reason I can think of why the OFT was not able to generate the OTS maps automatically.

I have no clue. LoL All I did was was flash my car back to the stock bin (or whatever) from my EcuTek the other night. Then my OFT came in the mail in the afternoon. I plugged it into my desktop with the manager and did the update. Loaded that TOY dev file (dunno why). Went to my car and uploaded my stock file. Came back into the house and did whatever. No tunes were listed so I selected 4 tunes of my choice (from what I downloaded the other night off your website). Stage 2 EL 93 BPB, the 91oct one, Stage 2 EL, and Stage 2 EL E85 tune. I loaded the Stage 2 EL 93 BPB into my car. I dunno. Everything is cool with me. No issues I don't think. Only thing I remember was a pop up about checksums when I was selecting tunes. I just clicked ok and carried on. I dunno. Car runs great. No complaints here.

Ecutek "stock" is not exactly the same as stock map, the tune is stock but there is a few bytes of licience info in an unused area of rom. This makes the oft think it not a stock map so it wont build a tune from the .dev data, however the cal id is ok so it will flash a full .bin tune.

You will need that stock ecutek map in your ecu if you want to go back to ecutek tune,

Yeah, I figured something was up looking at the info on the stock ***700C flash. It makes sense now. Thanks. I'm just happy to be able to use the OFT. EcuTek cable up for sale in the FS section.
