Definitely interested in how it works out. I don't want the steering feel to change much, it's just those odd situations where it feels like the power steering is out of breath...
I sorta like not having to chase down and gut my dinner, thanks. And the whole cold war thing, there's some things that are best left in the past

I just finished Daredevil last night. I enjoyed it, and I usually don't like comic book shows. I wish there were more than 3 seasons. The fight scenes are a bit much, but a lot of the dialogue and acting are great.
Now I need a new show. |

I don't know if it tastes any better, but its definitely a different experience for sure.
My gf and I go fishing all time, but we almost always do catch and release. I mostly catch bass, and I value bass for the experience of catching them a lot more than I value them as a food item so I probably wont ever keep one. I feel a bit different about trout though. I probably won't harvest any trout from native, breeding populations, because I don't want to prevent that population from growing, but all bets are off in stocked waters. These are fish put in the water specifically to be caught and eaten, so I'm not worried about affecting the ecological balance. Just this past weekend, a friend of mine took us out to some spots in a creek he helps stock, and I kept and ate a few. Not to get all philosophical about it, but I honestly believe there's something special about the experience of catching, preparing, and cooking a fish all yourself. Not only does it make me feel more connected to the food, in a way, it also makes me feel more connected to the past. This is how ancient people provided for themselves and I think its important to understand where we came from and how far we've come. Honestly, I think that everyone who eats meat should do something like this at least once. Tangentially related story: A couple weeks ago, we took our roommate, who is a lot less outdoorsy, up to my gf's family's cabin, and I wanted to give him the experience of eating a fish that he caught. He seemed pretty into the idea, since he'd never eaten fresh caught fish before. Being that it is trout season, my plan was to have us catch a couple trout and cook them on the campfire. Unfortunately, where we were fishing was home to some very aggressive rock bass that kept stealing the bait before any trout would come near. Not wanting to give up on the experience, I decided to say fuck it keep a few of the rock bass so we would at least have something to cook and eat. Only problem was, I've never kept and cooked rock bass myself before, only trout. So I didn't know the best way to prepare them. I decided to fillet them, thinking that was probably the safest choice, but that ended up being a bad move. Rock bass are way bonier than I expected, so I ended up wasting a lot of meat and the fillets ended up being super thin and kind of boring to eat. It really bummed me out, because those fish gave us their lives, and I ended up repaying that by wasting a bunch of the meat and eventually just saying "ehh... we should probably just make a pizza". I felt (and still feel) like I didn't properly respect the natural bounty I was taking from, and I ended up feeling pretty bad about it. So, when I decided to keep the trout I caught last weekend, it was important to me that I prepared them in the least wasteful way I could, so that those fish didn't give up their lives just to be discarded in favor of something easier. |

Taking tech support calls on industrial electrical equipment is not fun when the guy doesn't even know how to use a multi meter 3rd one this week like that.
