Yep, I hear that. After a bout with influenza, that kept me in bed for a week, two bouts with cancer, that brought on the necessity for chemotherapy, being a heavy smoker and being age 77, I could make a big deal out of every ache and pain that I have.

What I do is to keep my immune system strong by taking frequent and long naps. Hey, so far so good -

You can still have a lady friend over, just distance yourself -

Well, you DO know that you don't have to go to a gym to get exercise -

Just drive over and mention to one of those alfalfa farmers that surround your place, that you need some exercise - I'm sure he could find something for you to do -

Hallmark has a few movies on it. Single guy drives through farmland while unhappy with his lot in life getting paid millions as a hand model. His car [spins wheel--breaks/crashes/doesn't start] at the very edge of a farmers field.

Farmer just happens to be making a perimeter fence check, picks up this random guy, and takes him home like a lost puppy. Random guy falls in love with farmers daughter while [spins wheel--milking cows/mending fence/getting farm supplies] and they live happily until she gets pregnant with the local drunks baby. And then cut to commercial.

Reminds me of a back-in-the-day story about this Asian girl with interesting eyes. She worked in the formulations lab, working with highly toxic insecticides. Every time I saw her, she was wearing safety glasses, a face shield and a Tyvek (protective) suit.

We had some business to discuss, so, I ask her out for dinner one night. I picked her up at her apartment and - WOW! - what a difference wearing apparel made!

We had a very nice evening -

THE END

Reminds me of a back-in-the-day story when I used to work on the M/S Carnival Victory as a blackjack and dice dealer. I was dating a Croatian girl at the time (they purposely mix up nationalities on the ships to maximize the international feels) and I was down in the crew bar. My girl was working though and this Phillipino girl starts gaming on me hard. She was HOT too. Her name was literally lovela. It was something out of a Jame Bond or movie or maybe Austin Powers movie. Anyway I pushed my feelings way down inside and told her the truth about already having another girl on the ship. A few days later the boat went into dry dock for two weeks and I had a nice shore leave to go visit my family and friends back home. When I came back the Croatian girl had been transferred to another ship, and Lovela was dating my Hungarian roommate! I felt so stupid. Anyway it worked out in the end for me because I used the Croatian the first girl taught me to pick up the next one... that relationship went on for two years even though we both left Carnival after the contract ended 6 months later. That's another story though...

I think I need a nap now.
