2GR-SFE is the way to go. Right now I'm looking at a beams swaps because someone has a complete kit for it but if I had a much bigger budget the V6 would be the perfect fit.

There are quite a few like that now, there are some companies like Full-Race that are putting EFR turbo's on cars with that type of setup, just needs an elbow to mount the turbo it doesn't have a manifold like we are used to.

The mercedes 2.0T is shared with Infiniti, the new Q60 coupe should have it as the base engine and a 3.0TT V6 with around 400hp for the higher end models. The Q50 has been getting the 2.0T for a while, just not in the USA.

The 8AR-FTS is a 235hp 258 lb-ft 2.0 liter turbo engine designed by Toyota for their lexus models
I think the Mercedes designed infinity shared engine you're talking about is the M274 Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk |

Doing any engine swap on the basis of "I already have this free random engine" is seldom a good idea.
If you have done any swaps, you will know that the engine cost almost does not register once you add in all the other things that will take time and $$$$. Final value of the project may or may not factor into the matter, but "thinking-out-of-the-box" swaps are seldom worth much unless they are WAY WAY out of the box. I would counsel "Give this a go and let us see what you know." |
