Exclamation My Fr-s Dyno Results!! Surprising if you ask me

They say a picture is worth a thousand words well i say a video is worth a million words!! Stock FR-S 3 dyno runs car was allowed to cool down between runs btw:

Dynojet around 90F and high humidity 845 ft over sea level.
1st Run: Stock
2nd Run: Sound tube deleted
3rd Run: No filter

Big thanks to JMS racing for their sponsorship, cobb will be releasing their open source for the FR-S and i will be tuned by JMS. There is a nasty dip in the power band which confirms all other dyno runs btw my tuner said its very fixable. Next we will be testing a drop in k&n but i doubt it will bring more power without a tune.

So we can conclude the tube delete does nothing, and the filter might as well just stay in there. Nice.

On topic: Perrin or Nameless had already tried the no filter option and confirmed power loss.

Interesting on the sound tube delete. Thanks for the pics!

Sorry why will this generate a lot of discussion?? Isn't it EXACTLY at the power level it should be?

This isn't the same JMS from Mississippi is it? They tune Mustangs mostly, although they have a twin turbo Ford GT pushing 1000 hp.

Gah,

Another dyno without cross strapping. I shudder to think what would happen should one of the straps fail.

Supposed to have 6 total when using one roller on the 424. 2 front, 2 rear, 2 rear cross straps for rwd of course.

Also seems like those straps are close the exhaust, if the car was brought in warm and run hard it could melt a strap. Ive seen it happen.

They were not close they actually checked that because it looked like it, not close enough to generate enough heat to burn them.
