Seeing those photos makes me want to go to ACH.

At the same time, I'm totally fine with not going over a cliff like that Forester (not the one in the photos).

Most of our cars have the UHP summer tires, RWD cars had to drive extremely careful at the top. It was sliding at 5mph. haha

The AWD cars had much better traction for sure even with the summer tires.

I recently stocked out and ran the stock Prius tires, it was horrible.

haha they just stopped there and played with snow. We had to pull one of the cars from the snow on the way though.

LOL that was what made me cringe. Nay body used to the snow knows that you never, ever, for any reason short of breakdown (and even then you are scared) pull your car over to the side of the road on the outside shoulder of a curve. Especially if that curve is on an incline and everybody has summer tires on. I appreciate that you guys probably took it real easy but snow, and incline (even tiny) and an outside curve add up to a place you never want to have your car. Might be something to mention to them next time you guys go on a snow run.

That Forester owner is the same guy actually.

He's in my group. People make mistakes in the canyons. Thankfully, he came back from it and told his story for others to learn. He's a cool dude.

Good to know!

LA people can't drive if it drizzles, snowy roads can be extremely dangerous for us. haha

That Kia wasn't with us, so we didn't really say anything!

Wrong. So wrong! The most important part of winter driving is the tires.

But you're from LA, so we aren't expecting you to know that, I guess?

Edit: This post makes me sound like a ****. Sorry lol

Oh! Well then...

I certainly have a lot of respect for him for being upfront about his mistakes and sharing his story and video so that others won't end up like him before. That video, along with Nova's video of slipping on black ice, makes me want to take it easy on ACH when I go up there sometime.

All good man.

Yeah, just cruise in the canyon and enjoy the scenery and take fun pics. It's still very fun when you are driving casually!

I finally figure out a way to get my get my cruise control to fully function again. It required a lot of soldering, headaches, and resistors.

I have no idea how to drive in the snow either! Plus, I've never been to ACH before.

I might try going up anyway, seeing as the first time I was on GMR was on a dark night... Though that doesn't compare to first time on ACH with snow, I'm sure! I'll take some extra precautions and drive as slow as I can and enjoy the scenery at the same time.

I've been meaning to do that, actually. For personal reasons, I'm holding off on canyon runs, but I'll do one if you guys head up to ACH again. Give me a sec.

Because I don't have lower control arms/camber plates.

Those are the alignment numbers after RCE lowering springs and camber bolts.
