Another thing to consider with this being your dd, e85 tune will net you 35whp, BUT at the cost of significant mpg loss. Johns test car on the tune went from 28mpg to 18mpg average. That is definitely not worth the power gain.

And yes, the results for the Perrin bushing have been very positive. Most people say it gives the shifter a more notchy/aggressive feel and reduced their mis-shifts in conjunction with a weighted knob (which I believe you already have).
Yeah I should have end user software by EOY

Not to bring it back up, but some of us don't have time to tune our cars (or ability). So John's tune is a good option. Also, I was thinking of cost. I could pay $775 shipped (cost of group buy) for a decent hp and mpg gain, or.... the same price for a cat-back with less gain. Plus I would/will not have the ability to switch maps on the fly, launch control, flat foot shifting, etc., etc.. So it was a win-win for me. But for you, I can see what you are talking about. In my MS3 days, you had Cobb, and it was only $600ish and you could tune your own stuff, or Standback, or XEDE. With my Miata, it was the same as EcuTek... about the same cost to have a tuner mail in a map/tune, or send my ECU to the tuner. I think Visconti's tune is awesome for what it is for someone like me. But for you, I would wait... maybe open source?

Anyways, when is the next meet? Wish I made this one, I just happened to over sleep! haha

I totally agree, each person will have different needs. And I understand your exhaust vs tune comparison completely. For me I'll be making my own exhaust as well which is no where near the price of any of these ones for sale. I did watch their flat foot shift feature video and it is straight badass. Can't wait to see it released to the gen pub.

I'm down to meet up whenever honestly guys. I'd like to do a weekly or every other week event. Cars and coffee is only the first Saturday of every month. You guys want to do a meet next week? Let's set something up. Suggestions?

I will be tuning it myself when I get the end user software and will be tuning a little more aggressive on timing cause as NotsoJDM can tell you about my self tuned Evo I am a tq whore, within safe parameters of course.

Cant wait for my new exhaust and shift bearing to get here. Will be sending you some logs John.

Why Greenville? It's such a shithole =[

Raleigh has like 3 BRZ and 1 from VA will make it down if he's off.

Haha on Greenville. It doesn't matter to me. I have to drive where-ever anyways. I just want to know where some good curvy roads are. I'm not talking about over in the mountains either. Something more local.

I had flat foot shifting in my MS3 and it was awesome. It made shifting smoother and with less wear and tear on the drivetrain. Only problem is that it's not good for cats if it dumps raw fuel into the exhaust stream. If this tune cuts fuel, it would be more "cat" friendly.

Hey EvoXDD, have you done any datalogs yet? I'm just curious as to what your timing looks like on some 2nd and 3rd gear pulls.

This is what I want to do but trying to source a flat cable to this rather than the spiral stock one
