The side roads here in Lexington are just sheets of ice. I just sold my tC last weekend and now the FRS is my DD. I was quite impressed with the way the car performed on the suck ass tires. Yet my tC made life a little less stressful but was not that much better. And nannies off is the only way to go if you trust your driving skills. Feels like I have more control for sure. Be safe out there!

You probably want all around winter tires rather than ones for pure snow. Most of the winter season we don't have snow on the ground so you want something that does well in all conditions (dry/wet).

+1 for Blizzaks.
I'm runnin Blizzak LM-60's and they plow through snow and have great dry/wet traction.

i saw a merc, beamer, and golf spinning their wheels going less than 5mph on the cross island last night. The best thing I saw was a bmw z3 getting towed with a rope by an avalanche

My favorite part was passing a cop that was doing maybe 30 and I was doing 50,

blizzaks are winter tires... I think you're trying to compare studded vs stud-less tires?

i was driving in the snow last night around 10:30PM with a kid in the back seat and my girl in the passenger. My interior is completely destroyed by snow and salt water right now. anyone got tips on that. theres patches of ice all over the cracks just sitting there. also on the carpets.

Vacuum should get all the salt out. I vacuumed and scrubbed my carpets earlier this year for the same reason. Within 2 days of owning the car had my weathertech mats ordered.

Collects a majority of the crap and very easy to remove and clean. Lots of salt collected on the mats. Much better than the regular mats

I got the oem all weather rubber mats and they seem ok for the front but the rear mats are a joke. Don't cover the whole area just the middle. Wish I had gone for the weathertech. If you can take a quick pic of the rear mats in their position would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
