I've had these on my car along with the subframe and trans bushing for a few months. At about 75-77mph, you can really hear the diff howling. I haven't decided if I am going to keep them or not because it was such a great upgrade. But with a 60 mile commute starting next week, I don't know if I can handle it.

My only complaint from these bushings is the horrible clunk they make for every shift into 1st and 2nd. It sounds like something is breaking back there. I made sure to torque everything back to spec but it just doesn't sound normal. I never had these issues with just the transmission and rear subframe inserts so I know it has something to do with these.

Same situation for me, with the trany and the subframe inserts, everything was fine. Its supposed to be normal Whiteline said.

The revers, for you, have the clunk also? I think it's on very gears but more on the 1st and 2nd...

Am curious to know if the cusco will make the trany sound like this... Anyone run the cusco diff brace here?

Our cars really need stiffer engine mounts too. Stiffening all the points (engine mounts, trans mounts, shifter, rear subframe, rear diff) will I'm sure make the car feel proper.

I don't want to have more NVH then now.

Then I don't think I will upgrade the engine mounts.

But you want to mean, with the engine mount, we will probably not hear the clunk sound during shifting anymore?

Whiteline differential insert bushings review

I don't think we have a DIY in the forum but with the instruction you will receive with the bushings, it's pretty easy...

You can also download it on the Whiteline website.

Right here : http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_..._number=KDT925

Whiteline differential insert bushings review

After discussing with the Whiteline tech about the gear noise, I can now clarify the concern and shared their response almost word of word, I only added some comments.

We can drive it hard but do not drop the clutch. Like you probably already know, this is not good stock anyway.

Things will be louder it's just typical rear wheel drive mechanics. This noise is expected, the gearbox in these vehicles are not small, but do not be concerned.

All will be fine unless you're at the race track everyday.

Again, racing the car completely stock everyday will probably break something too...

If the car is driven respectively, don't worry.

Then enjoy your mod!!!

After investigate to find the real source of the sound after releasing the clutch, am pretty sure it's produced by the clutch mechanism itself...then nothing to worry about.

Has anyone thought of packing the diff bushings with Windo Weld? I've used it on several projects in the past with amazing results, personally.

Wonder if that would help stiffen it up without the NVH issues.
