Yeah I am REALLY excited to get these on the car in the next month or so with summer tires. It came down to these or RPF1s... like the looks of the TC105N just a bit more. Still need to decide on tires and lugs...

For tires, I ended up getting the Continental ExtremeContact DWs. Price was hard to beat and it is comparable to the PSS tires. So final summer wheel/tire mods are:
--Wedsport TC105N 17x9 +35
--Continental ExtremeContact DW tires 245/40/17
--Counterspace Garage heavy duty racing lug nuts

Total weight savings is 3.6 lbs per corner or 14.4 lbs overall!! I was hoping to drop at least 2 lbs per corner so this is GREAT.

Lugs are on their way... you're gonna shit your pants when you pick up the box.

LOL, after talking to CSG David, I'm almost as excited about the lugs as I am about the wheels and tires. I can't wait to pick up that box!!

The discussion went kinda like this:
Capt Insano - "I'm really anal about weight. I was thinking maybe some blue or neo chrome lugs, but more than anything, I want light/strong."
CSG David - "Have you seen our lugs? There is a group buy going on. They are great."
Capt Insano - "I did see those, but not sure I want open ended for DD car."
CSG David - "We have extensively tested these on rally and race cars. No worries about open end. If you really are worrier, you can use some anti-sieze and torque them less."
Capt Insano - *thinks for a minute* "Yeah, but they look really heavy due to being extended. How much do they weigh compared to OEM lugs?"
CSG David - "I don't have exact weight versus stock, but these are LIGHT! You won't believe how light they are. People pick these up and they kinda just give a very surprised look at how light they are due to the aluminum we use in mfg process."
Capt Insano - *thinks some more* "Hmmm, light, strong... Sign me up."

The tires just arrived!

They arrived!!

You are right, I nearly shat myself. I opened the platic bag in the box, looked at them - then I grabbed one and felt it in my hand. It felt like nothing. Feels like you are holding air compared to how the lug looks like it should weigh.

Next, got out the kitchen scale. This is a fairly accurate scale mind you. Not like a cheap bathroom scale. All 20 lugs weigh a scant 13 ounces!! LOL, bigger, stronger, and LIGHTER than the OEM lug nuts. Outstanding job here CSG. For real. Bravo!

Who says this car is not practical?? My wife has to pick up the kids from school tomorrow so I can't use the Pilot to take my wheels in to work and then to get my tires mounted.... So, I threw four tires and four wheels in the BRZ!! Check it out...

Some better pics with the wheels and lugs on the car when it's clean. Again, my photo skills are marginal. I also have the Weds center caps now, but haven't put them on the car yet....

I switched to Q300 catback with titanium tips a week back. My wife wasn't liking the N1 and I added an Invidia catless resonated frontpipe and P&L overpipe as well so would have been loud with the N1. With the Q300, catless resonated frontpipe and the overpipe, it sounds pretty good still. Definitely a quieter exhaust than the N1 which I did like when I was running just that catback.

Overall I think I like it. Less noise in cabin with the Q300. And it still has a decently aggressive note with the frontpipe/overpipe on there as well once you get into the revs. The Q300 by itself is very quiet. I would rate it barely louder than stock.

Updated the front pages of the thread with the new info.

Also while at P&L yesterday I had a chance to drive Hawaiian's car. He has a complete P&L exhaust system including the header plus a tune. Man that felt NICE (thanks Hawaiian!). He was running pump gas tune when I drove it. Just the pump gas tune (non-E85) felt very very noticeable increase over stock. I definitely have a header/tune jones now.
