CHARLESITE YELLOW BRZ Compilation

Does anyone regret getting the series yellow because of the color?

Every day my alarm goes off at 0600 hrs. Every day I blink my eyes in the darkness before the sun has had it's opportunity to shine into my room. My routine is the same every day. I ponder as I lay in bed about what the day ahead will hold in its hands. I take a shower and shave. I put my clothes on as the fan above me slowly twirls. Before I leave the confines of my bedroom, I take the black plastic keyfob with shiny silver accents and place them in my pocket. Keys to the house; dog tags from the US Army all looped on board. O-Negative blood type. My name. My social. They jingle in my pocket as I step outside to the drive way.

The yellow shimmers as the first glimpse of sunshine beams upon the yellow. All the colors in the spectrum reflect back in rebellion except one. The yellow. Black accents with tiny STI writing line the base of it. Black wheels dirty from brake dust still giving a broken smile of the glistening of beautiful flakes beneath. I gaze upon the figure. Smooth. The charlestite yellow reminds me vaguely of the Afghani morning skies I try not to recall. My fingers gently brush the silky smooth waxed surface. Rain is in the forecast. As I drive down the roads to work, I see the reflections of all around me. I begin to think to myself of the other colors in the Subaru spectrum. What have I done? Of all colors I had seen on that scorching day I chose a color which defied the others. Had I done something wrong? Had I committed to the wrong partner? My eyes glaze over as I move through traffic.

"No. No I haven't." As my stoic face quietly tweaks a smile for a fleeting moment in time.

Nope. I've always wanted a yellow car -- and this shade of yellow is borderline exotic. Standing out in sea of beige is a choice I committed to when I signed the paperwork.

I've gotten a lot more attention in this car than my Whiteout FR-S, and that car was modified to be loud, lowered, and well-fitted, whereas the BRZ is still very much stock. It must be the color and how the Series.Yellow accents complete the package.

Has anyone put thought into aftermarket wheels? I'm going to need a set, I put winters on the stock rims and want to pick up something light for the summer.

I'm currently leaning towards Konig wheels. The 17x8 hypergram in matte grey. Do you think grey would look good on this car? Another option I'm considering is the Konig dekagram in matte black.

I'm entertaining the idea of Konig Rennform's in 18x8 or 18x9.

I really like those Renforms as well. I think that I'm going to stick to 17x8 so that I can run the stock tires for another summer and then pick up better rubber the next year.

Do you think the Matte grey Hypergram would look good on the yellow brz? I'm not sure if this car demands black wheels. The hypergrams look pretty dark in pictures, but they're not black for sure.

Your pictures are really making me think that going with a matte grey wheel might be a mistake. the black wheels look so right with the other black accents on the car. I was looking at the 6UL and really wanted to go with them in tungsten. They are a bit too expensive for me though. Maybe Konig Dekagram will be the ticket.

except black rims are far too common and does no justice to rims with an attractive design by obscuring with the black. Most cars pop a lot more with gunmetal or silver rims.
