Exclamation Air ventilation knob not working

Out of nowhere my knob will not turn farther than where it is at, anybody know what the issue can be?

Have you been messing around with something under the dash, like the head unit....??

My guess is that a rod/wire inside one of the cables is kinked.

If so, fixing it would be easy ...... getting to it to fix it ..... not so easy......

Either that or the door to the upper vents is jammed open. That's the next function to toggle.

It happens. Unfortunately if it is the diverter door itself it will be a massive PITA to fix. Usually the entire center console needs to be disassembled to get in there.

i Ended up fixing it. SO what happened was the wire from the GPS module became wrapped around the actuator. I removed the aftermatket pioneer head unit and fixed it up.

The cool thing is you will never forget the circumstances that caused the failure.

Kudos!
