I tend to not use OEM spec as much just because they installed it brand new without any wear and tear, dirt or grime. Typically 5-9 ft/lbs below spec.

Great info, thanks guys! I just ordered a steel one and probably use the grease gun hose trick to relocate the sensor since it's a tight fight around the throttle wires.
