Doors are all kinds of messed up

So one early sunday morning me and my girl both open our doors at the same time and the strongest wind i have ever felt came and ripped the doors out of our hands. Now I have two kinks on both side and they dont close properly. See pics and youll see what im talking about. Any advice? Body shop is charging me 1500 for both doors together. I dont know if its the hinges, the latches or the aligment of the doors that is messes up. Help please. My doors dont close, took it for a car wash ans got water all inside my car and they open 90 degrees. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1461025915271.jpg

Ouch! You could adjust the hinges where they bolt to the body just so the door latches but if where the hinge is attached is bent or kinked thats not good but fixable. Just a lot of labor time. Get more estimates if you can get it to a shop.

Loosen the bolts on the body side hinges and move the door rearward. You should have some help since the door is heavy and awkward to move by yourself.

Sounds about right. That is a lot of labor, and obviously there are gaps. It is probably a combination of bent hinge and door metal.

To fix it looks like they will have to do metal work, paint work, and replace parts.

In picture 4, is the door rippled all along the side or is it a weird reflection?

Those are not going to adjust out no matter how hard you try. Body work is required.

would insurance cover anything like this? technically mother nature played a part in this. hopefully your deductibles are low for comp.

The door frame is probably buckled. More than likely two door shells, all hinges, door stay assemblies. If you get lucky, just hinges and door stays, but I doubt it.

You and your girlfriend both opened your doors at the exact same moment, and the wind was so strong that it ripped the doors out of both of your hands? Are you sure the car didn't roll out of a garage with the doors open?
