I think I saw you mention that you were going to be including data for those that are lowered as well. Any chance this information will be included in your analysis that you will be releasing as being lowered increases the effect from both the splitter and diffuser?

Yes I can include a ride height aero map also if people would like. Just remember each CFD run takes about 24 hrs to converge so it can not be done super quickly.

Also consider that it takes 24 hours to run, AFTER Paul has to spend countless hours programming the cad models.

It's not exactly like starting up the Xbox

You mean to tell me that Forza isn't an accurate depiction of aerodynamic tuning??

What if it was an Xbox One? Those are supposed to be pretty powerful, right?

What program is your car model generated in? Is it compatible with CAD and or Solidworks and can I have/purchase a copy? Base car only, don't need your splitter... Although if you're feeling generous I wouldn't say no Haha!

All CAD is done in Solidworks. It is possible to buy my model (to much time and money invested to give it away for free). PM me for details.

For anybody who doesn't know, CAD is computer aided modeling and is used to make 3D and 2D parts in the computer. CFD is computational fluid dynamics and is used to solve math equations for fluid flow.

Like @Malt, I am running the FT86SF/Hancha group street splitter and the @Wonderbar V1 diffuser. I think it's a great combo. I haven't been out on a track, but on twisty backroads it is pretty noticeable. I feel the car is still very balanced, and that the limits of understeer and oversteer are both higher than before mods. Most notably, the car feels more stable and planted. Being on public roads, and being an amateur, I don't push overly hard. That being said, I've only been able to induce understeer once and have yet to be able to power oversteer since adding these products. I was able to induce these conditions at will prior to these products, at stock power levels on 30k mile Primacy's.

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the splitter! As we stated earlier, we have been working on a "race version" that will increase downforce and handle the additional loads at higher rates of speed. Paul has come up with the pieces that will add downforce and I have been working on the splitter ties for reduced deflection.

These are very much prototypes so that I can get the correct tie length and prove design concept.

The final version will put the rod end in double shear for added reinforcement, the tie will likely be a piece of single machined billet, etc. Currently I can stand near the tie rod with minimal deflection.

Question for everyone. Their are two mounting points I can go with on the crash beam. One way will require drilling on a pre-existing hole and then adding a riv-nut. The other will require you to drill holes through the pinch weld (pictured below) and then bolt and nut. Looking for what you guys would prefer so that I can continue to advance the design. If you have another thought, let me know as well.

The JR oil cooler mounts to the bottom of the crash beam. If the rivet nuts are the same size they can share the same mounting holes. I will have to verify the bolt size, but I believe it was M6.

I have no input for the mounting holes, but will that stay design route through the FR-S grille without cutting as well?

If your buying the race version then cutting a small notch in some plastic shouldn't be an issue. If it is something you can't stomach then stick with the street version.
