Do you ever get to the point that you can almost predict responses? Get this exhaust, no this one will drone less, but this one is quieter, etc.

I don't see much new info/products or am I wrong?

Sometimes I think I am in the same thread from a day or two ago only to not find my response and realize it's actually a new thread

Its why most of the time I avoid tech and general section but lately I have been feeling nice. I try not to spoonfeed info but I hate hearing someone say dumb shit and new guys believe them like a muffler delete and headers wont be loud or rasp. Like wtf

Thanks finch1750, I hear you. I think I have a plan for the car, but I'm feeling a bit claustrophobic. I can see that this platform has a lot of aftermarket parts/ideas. But, as of late, it seems like rinse and repeat.

Keep in mind, I'm new and haven't modified a car. I have plenty of experience keeping cars/equipment running. We called it wrenching

I can pretty much tell you who will say what on any given topic.
The new topics dried up a few years back. There is still the weird ass one offs that pop up but the usual response to them is "Hmmm weird. Let us know what you find out". They rarely let us know.

The frequency of some threads is why we made up the FAQ thread. I think I am the only one that directs people there though. so simple to just read a questions and go http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96158
I have no issues answering even the most basic questions but like too at least attempt to get people to try to learn the basics. I do lose it (if nobody noticed) when people ask a question and then argue with every single response. Why the hell did you ask if you all of a sudden know it all?

I appreciate the response, but I don't think you or I could predict what anyone would say with free reign.

Once any platform/fad/style/genre of car has been around a few years it becomes rinse and repeat. There is no avoiding it. Has always happened and always will. Even if you go radically different you can rest assured that more just like yours will pop up. Even a lot of the "new" fads are just slightly different versions of something that was done before.

People are predictable. Free reign or not the majority of the people will respond in the manner they usually do. When you see as many of those responses as I have you can easily predict them. Hell there are a dozen or so that if I had their log in I could probably respond for them and nobody would know the difference.

Thanks Tcoat, most times I stay out of anything "technical" because I'm still learning, sort of. Old school...

It was an interesting topic that I no longer have any interest in...
FYI I was learned to read & write right to left (if I write it up to down)

So again, that's all depends on which country you're from.
