How-to FRS/BRZ article, needs some work...

This is not the best piece of advice I've ever seen:
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/r/...t-it-should-be

"This car sucks, so buy a turbo or a stupidly expensive turbo." Thanks dude.

I've been assigned to rework it. Basically, it's getting tossed in the trash and I'm starting from scratch. I'm thinking intake, exhaust, tune, turbo. Maybe pulleys too? What would you tell the n00b that just bought an 86 and wants to mod it?

Don't.

Just so you don't think I was being sarcastic:

1) n00b and just bought it = learn to drive it and form an opinion of what you want to change, if anything.
2) Don't listen to what other people want to spend your money on without having experience.
3) Try to find an owner who has done what you are considering and see if they have regrets and if they will let you go for a ride in or drive their car.

That's brilliant, and great advice.
Not so great when you're trying to sell stuff tho. Maybe it can be aimed at the owner that's had it a year and wants to make improvements.
Tires first?

Tint the windows. If it has the base Pioneer stereo, replace it.

Tires first?
That particular owner would know what they want.

If asking "Maybe pulleys too" you may not be the best choice as an author of a new article.

I am not 100% convinced I wasn't just duped into clicking an ad anyway.

Alignment and driving school. Tires.

Or stickers.

Or, you know, do your own research rather than asking us to write this for you. The answers are out there. Of course, many are wrong, but...

Had to see what was so bad that recommending an intake and pulleys was an improvement on.

I did. I was immediately greeted with a massive pop-up advertisement for car detailing crap.

Anybody got Gforce/Ubersuber/Suberman's contact info? I am sure he would love to help write an article.
