The good: Although it's mid winter break, the grandchildren won't be here till about noon.

The bad: Our daughter had to take the day off work because she is sick.

The ugly: I have to make a Costco run, for paper products, which we seem to use a ton of.

What the heck did granddaughters use for wiping things, when "Kleenex" was used only by women to remove makeup; paper towels were not found in the kitchen and toilet paper was brown and rough .....

That's what the Sears catalog was for and why they were so thick.
They sent them to you for free. As many as you like.

It's COLD here today (22 degrees F) ...... yes, cold for these parts.

Reminds me of being in the field, in the winter, in Germany.

When one had to go #2, he would head to the slit trench on the perimeter of the encampment. There the Officers would find a 2"x12"x 8 ft long plank with 4 holes in it ...... over a trench and supported by two Jerry cans.

Now, the holes came in two types ....... ones with ice on them and the ones without ice on them (still warm from the last person sitting on them). Which one to choose ......

We got 75 Fs today in Connecticut! Crazy warm for this time of year. I wonder if the polar vortex is still split in 2.

Yeah New England weather is crazy. We have 4 pretty equal seasons but each season gets a little of all four sometimes...

So, YOU'RE one of those creepy guys who stares at women working out in the gym, that my ex-partner used to tell me about. She said they always made her feel uncomfortable, when they would sniff the seats of the workout equipment after she got off of it ...... ??

Just ask-en -

Got "sideswiped" this evening.

Dude rushed up the merge lane, came to a stop, I didn't let him in. When the light turned green, he kept going and hit me.

Damage is likely able to be buffed out. I didn't want to report it, but he got the police involved. Now I have to take time out of my day tomorrow to go to the reporting centre.

When we exchanged information, the plot thickened. Rental car being driven by the other party. Then it thickened again, Austrian (or EU, I guess) license.

Awesome

How does a rental from Austria/EU end up in Canada and driven by a douche like that?

He probably got the damage liability waiver (because most insurance companoes don't cover foriegn countries so you should internationally) so he was just like fuck it I don't have to pay any extra.
