Not the same issue, but I have a sneaky feeling your final drive is messing things up.

I thought that also but have found at least 3 other people with automatics that went to 4.88s with out any problems. My Scion dealership says 4.88s won't cause a problem, but who believes them.

The dealer will likely just replace the speed sensor and see if it fixes the problem. Quite often the code correctly diagnoses the problem. Could be a loose connection or damaged wire, too. Or some completely bizarre thing making one wheel turn at a different rate from the others. No physical symptoms?

Maybe another twin owner will let you try swapping sensors?

Unplug and plug in the speed sensors at all 4 wheels. Could also be a damaged sensor from the gear swap or could be loose and got damaged

Speed sensors are super finicky. If the code is telling you that it is probably the cause.

No, never got it solved. The track owner loaned me one of his "Chump Cars", a Honda Civic so at least I got to run and had some fun. Bill, the track owner said the honda was capable of 2.15 times and I did a 2.167 so I felt pretty good.

While at the track I did pull all 4 wheel sensors and visually check them. They all looked like new. So it's still in the trailer, bringing it to the dealer this morning.

I had a speed sensor issue when I went through an under carriage car wash. The code went away after about 12 hours (after drying). This has happened multiple times. Did you run through any water during the track day? Heat from brakes effecting sensor?

Well the Scion Dealer found the problem. And it ain't pretty.
Come to find out the incompetent asshole shop that changed my rear end gears didn't tighten the axle nut properly. So it came off! Which means the back hub was just kind of flopping in the breeze, tearing everything up, and just waiting for another turn so it could come off completely.
Everything is shot and needs replacing. This is what was causing a miss-alignment with the speed sensor and the warning lights. The incompetent asshole shop is picking my car up and re-doing everything new. no cost.
Hope they do it right this time.

I am a bit ashamed I didn't catch this my self when I pulled the back wheel. I noticed my little center hub cap was missing but after pulling the wheel looked right over the axle shaft to the speed sensor.

So everyone go torque your axle nuts.
