$555 is for the novice high performance which includes a car control clinic in the morning and lapping with a coach in the afternoon.

$245 PM lapping is for people that have previous lapping experience with a coach

Hoping to get out for my first day at PR in the coming month or two. I have to get a coach for a session since I haven't lapped there before. Here's hoping for good weather.

Any good onboards I should watch for good examples of lines?

Here's an E36 turning really good times and mostly following the school line.

The 15th was a good day. The back side of the track was wet and slippery in the morning but it eventually dried up. We were allowed to lap until a little after 4pm.

Video from my Integra racing with rice_classic in the CRX. I think the best lap would be to emulate my line in T2 and T5a-6 but use the line of the CRX in T3a-3b and T8. There might be footage from the CRX as well but I couldn't find it on youtube.

Trackday instructors are of varying quality but it is important to drive whatever line they want you to drive until you're signed off to solo. Then you can make adjustments as you see fit. This is important to keep in mind because in some cases the lines in the video are fast and proper but some may consider them to be unorthodox.

Cheers, thanks! Nice driving. Lots to learn from this.

I just had a nice chat with @rice_classic yesterday about his approach to the ridge. Great to see both of your lines at PR. Looks like a super fun track.

I'd like to get out to a drift event just to mess around and play with the car one day.

You should. There seem to be a few drift events out of canby OR. Drifting is a different experience then the lapping/tracking. Love them both. Once nice thing about the drift events they tend to be a lot cheaper then tracking days. Normally under $100 for the day. But it's less track time. so give and take. Bob of Drift Office puts on great events for beginners at The Ridge. Those are starting back up in late spring I believe.

I know the owner of Pat's Acres out at Canby, he used to be a customer of mine, and that track is not for beginners. I am mostly looking for some skidpad time, Bob's events are more what I was looking for. I will keep an eye out for them this spring. My street tires are about done so they could use a proper send off. Especially since I have a trailer for my car now.

Is there a list of events / costs for the year in the PNW?

I'm interested in doing some track events + perhaps a drift sesh or two to get my bearings with the car, and some autox (if it's not the typical SCCA 3 lap competitions)

IIRC the tracks around Seattle/Portland are:
Pacific Raceways
Ridge
Portland International Raceway
Evergreen Speedway(?)

There is also Spokane and ORP.

Keep an eye out on motorsportsreg.com and if you are on Facebook Turn2's page.
