It is 18" high and 26" long. Got it at PetSmart - sold under the brand Great Choice. It is a bit tight for my two pugs to fit in together, but works for short trips to the kennel. If they are coming on longer trips they go in the Expedition. Anyway, it was the largest crate I could find that would fit in the BRZ.

Awesome thanks! Mines only a couple inches bigger, it might fit!

another thought... load the bottom half through the trunk and the top half through the door, then fasten together.

You dog can fit in it but he won't enjoy the ride with a little space.

And while it may not happen often, it's no fun for either of you when you slam on the brakes and your dog bounces off the back of your head.

There may be sufficient room in the back of a BRZ, but the problem is how to get the cage IN. I cannot slide my "normal" large cooler through the trunk opening; it's too narrow.

However, as another noted, you may be able to move the front seat fully forward, lay the seatback forward, and get the large container in through the front. It'll be a snug fit, but the right sized container could do it. I'm assuming your doggy is small.

I was able to fit my plastic travel crate inside with the seats folded down, but I had to assemble it inside the car...
