GENOME TUNING resonator delete instead of intake

Hey everyone so hears what I went with. Not too long ago I bought the perrin panel filter and was still wanting that glorious induction sound you normal associate with a short ram and cold air setup, but for the price and power gains it just wasn't adding up. So I went a bought GENOME TUNING's Aluminum resonator delete plug set. They look great, super easy to install and it greatly increased the sound I was looking for. It also helps that I have the RED TRD SOUND CHANGER. Anyway im happy with the setup now and just wanted to share this idea with all of you. Oh yeah and thanks to Ash.

I've read that deleting the resonators can have adverse effects, no thanks

I'm glad you like it though.

Will have to disagree. Evidence even the TRD Griffon was running resonator deletes.

I myself made a sound tube plug and then bought the GT resonator plug.

That picture could mean a lot of things and I'm pretty sure they've dropped that set up since then so it leads me to believe that they tried it and it didn't work out so well? I can only assume

I have seen dyno plots where people lose low end when deleting the res right next to the airbox and then theres the one below the elbow after the airbox which I read was more for reducing turbulence rather than silencing anything. I made a post about it awhile ago where I had references and everything so I'll have to find them again for you, or you could search my user name.

I haven't felt a loss of power anywhere in the rev range but I also have a drop in filter which may be why I haven't.
