Smile Tactrix 2.0 and OFT maps

Hello guys , i have been reading alot recently about tunning my BRZ . So i have installed ECU flash - downloaded all recent definitions from github and everything is working fine . I found a premade maps for my car ZA1JB00C . I have downloaded the definitions from OFT and replaced the current definitions in ECU flash to match the bin file that i am using . I noticed that the file is large compared to the other files in the folder , after that i tried to open the file in ECU flash but with no Succes , ECUflash cant recognise the definitions from OFT . Did i did something wrong ? Or OFT defs. are not compatible with Ecuflash ? Guys i apreciate all the help . Thats my first post in this community . If there is something wrong please excuse me .
Best regards
M.

OFT definitions are for Romraider, not for ECUflash. Also, OFT B00C are likely to be cal ID hacked ROMs, if you flash with ECUflash you could well brick the ECU. I believe B01C is the non-hacked compatible version. Loads of info around though, this thread is a must read.

Thank you Kodename47 I understand now . Quick question , can OFT maps be converted for EcuFlash ?
Is there any available stage 2 BRZ maps for EcuFlash ?
Thank you !

Oft and ecuflash\tactrix flash the same tune files.

The issue is fhe oft tunes are set up for the oft system, which often involves oft guys altering some of the ecu calibration id strings inside the roms. Theore are three in each rom, and two are altered. This can cause problems with romraider and ecuflash definitions identifying the rom as a differnt id to its true id. Editing the rom with a mismatched definition amd tune will cause problems from engine running badly or weird behavioir to bricking ecu.

If your just flashing you generally get away without issues, but not understanding the problems or calid hacks is very easy to get into trouble.

Note OFT calid hacks chamge for each tune release.

In current oft V4 release B01C roms are acutally A01G roms so even thats not a good choice.

In oft v2 and v4 B01C was a real B01C.

You rearly need to check roms with a hex editior to see if its been calid modified

If your car is B01C originally, just use OFT V4 tunes but use an A01G rom instead, this is not altered and compatable with B01C cars

Would anyone happen to know if it's possible to flash an v4..03 oft tune with the same ecu calib id?

Would I be able to edit the tune in romraider with the oft definitions provided from oft and flash the car with tacktrix

So I flashed it with a 2013 V4 oft ROM. What definitions do I need to have for on ECU flash when I load up my ROM to flash it do I just use the ECU flash 13 BRZ ROM definition?

I am having this weird issue where I am unable to read the ROM it just says requesting seed then closing interfaces and error immediately.

reading vehicle info...

[16:54:00.442] CALID : ZALJA01G

[16:54:00.444] CVN 6039568A

[16:54:00.449] VIN : JF12NA

[16:54:00.569] starting programming session...

[16:54:00.570]

turning off DTCs...

[16:54:00.581] turning off unnecessary communications...

[16:54:00.582] unlocking ECU..

116:54:00.582]

Requesting Seed...

[16:54:00.585] interface close

[16:54:00.586]

interface close

EDIT! I think it was cuz my OBD2 port wasn't getting a good connection . I forced the plug tight against it and it seemed to flash again
