Maybe having it ceramic coated and a good polish/protector might help.. But metal rusts under the use of salt.. Stainless steel still rusts, unless its the very very expensive type.. Even then I hear it will rust.. There are some people that understand and know all this on here as I've seen them debate the subject.. Hell I've been to the St. Louis arch and seen rust on that and it's suppose to be pure stainless and the best, at least they make it out to be

I used VHT Exhaust Manifold paint on mine, should help combat rust a lot more than without. It will eventually rust seeing as how the damn exhaust tip is faced at an angle where if you spray water it will seem to get stuck inside of the exhast.

The only down side To me for the Eco is that it's those single layered tips. Wish it was like the nameless on the double walled ones.. Just looks abit better.. I guess if it does rust you can get it polished off? Haha Ohwell

My EVO3 didn't come with any silencers/baffles
I love the sound of it without them, to me it sounds like a much bigger engine (like a V8 ) sitting in the driver's seat anyway
I swapped out the stock one for the EVO3 with about 200km (120mi) on the dial, so I can't say I really heard the stock except at idle and sub-60mph speeds - still was breaking it in.
My car will never see salty roads (while I own it) since it will go into storage in Nov and awaken in April after the rains wash the salt off the roads.

Odd. They come pre installed and bolted in. you have to remove them. They are not seperate in the box.

I was installing my coil overs a little bit ago and noticed small rust dots all over.. I blued the hell out of the piping from the track, even melted the right rear cut out a little bit.. I'm going to do a complete detail and plan on hitting it with some polish and protectant when I detail.. Let y'all know what happens afterwards..

For the record, I live In The desert.. Was the high desert of SoCal, now Vegas.. There is not much rain and the car has only seen a brief shower that lasted maybe two-three miles.. Otherwise, she's never seen the rain

Either deal with it or switch to another system. To my knowledge, nobody has altered the system to reduce drone. You could possibly get another resonator fabricated and put in somewhere but at that point you have to wonder if it's worth the effort and cost.

Some folks aren't bothered by the drone at all, the rest of us had to move on to other options.

YMMV

^ sound like a pain, but will try to remove silencer and replace w/ different screws nuts for easy access.

Exhaust is little too loud for me w/o silencer. I really like the sound of the silencer on at the moment. I'm thinking of modify the silencer to make it sound little louder by either cutting the silencer tip shorter or drill few perforated holes into the silencer tube that would make the exhaust louder w/ silencer on.

Just got my greddy evo 3 in the mail today. I don't think it came with silencers. Granted I was planning on taking them out. But I was hoping to have them so that I could put them in for long drives

You will know if you got em. The EVO 3 comes with them already installed in the mufflers and instead of 4" openings you will have little guys.

I already opened it. And it had the 4" installed. Nothing inside of them or anything.
