VW R20 .. any fans?

I'm not usually a VW or GTI fan (cuz it's FWD) but the R20 is looking decent with similar specs to WRX STI and I'm glad they got rid of the R32's V6 for a turbo 2L. Gonna put down about 270hp / 258tq with AWD too. 0-60 of 5.7 (5.5 with DSG).

Much more interesting car than R32 was and much better looking. I hated those chrome parts on the R32. Can't believe VW is already testing the MK7 Golf though this car just barely landed at US dealers!

Agreed and agreed.

To be honest, the golf is no longer interesting, the cars have gotten to big and too heavy and completly lost the 'im an economy car but im a drivers car too' appeal. Now they are just economy/comfort cars with powerful engines put in to pretend they are drivers cars too.

So many cars are like that nowadays, just living off the heritage of their badge or names.

Not sure if the r20 will be offered in the U.S. but i think its a bit dated too much gti look. VW should drop the r20 for the U.S. market and deliver this...if you havent seen this yet, meet the Scirocco R.

would you like to know more..http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z...cirocco-R.aspx

This looks way more appealing pretty much a better looking gti somewhat
