Exoticspeed UEL header, Gruppe-S clone?

Just browsing fleabay and came across these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exoticspeed-...dXuIru&vxp=mtr

Doing a search on this brandname has given little to no feedback. Their front pipe and catbacks look nice as well

Compare the pictures of the exoticspeed to gruppe-s .

Looks exact except the badging on the runners. Even the flanges have that same s engraved in it.

The exoticspeed with the shipping and the overpipe comes to about $100 cheaper than the groupe-s with the same.

Well people say the gruppe-s is a knockoff of the tomei but the bends on the tubes are bent slighty different from the pics ive compared. These exoticspeed look exactly like the gruppe-s.

And the OFH is a gruppe-s or Tomei with Larger Runners.

Nice, but Gruppe-S is on the forums and can be reached if there's issues.

- No pics of the gaskets (Gruppe-S has known quality gaskets) or hardware.
- No pics of a normal off the shelf one to know it's true quality (yet)
- Overpipe looks janky? Just looks weird on the bends.
- No oil pan heatshield option.

I'm a fan of Openflash's stuff, but their header just wasn't up to par IMHO. Flanges aren't stainless, no expansion joints at all, collector isn't as good as Tomei/Gruppe-S, and quite a bit more expensive than a Gruppe-S.

YMMV

-will most likely go with grimmspeed gaskets regardless of what header I choose
- Yeah hoping someone has tried these out on here
- yeah really analyzing this one could just be the bad angle of the pic?
- can get a stick on heatsheild anywhere

not seeing the inside merge collector is a concern though.

- From the ones I got with my Gruppe-S header, they looks like MLS OEM stylle gaskets like the grimmspeed. Can't confirm who makes them, but I doubt there's that many different companies making these things.
- Simply dunno. Overpipe has very little gains anyway so I didn't bother (stock front pipe to retain a cat as well)
- Gruppe-S heatshield is already cut to size and fits perfectly. Totally worth it for the $20 I spent.

What is there to review really? Might as well look at the gains Gruppe-S makes and go with it. This looks the same as the PRS headers sold here in Australia. In actual fact they are all a copies made in the same factory. A bit like the Monza, KLS, etc hedears being copies of the HKS! TBH I would rather stick with a product that has a lot of r&D behind it, not just a copy that had an angle changed just for the sake of the copyright. What is even more sad is when you see said companies, going on about how they are the ones that have developed the design of the copy, like we dont have access to internet to see through their BS.
But each to their own!

Well after more research these headers were sold under the name kinugawa which is under the name kamak these were selling on here around 2015. So in conclusion

gruppe-s=exoticspeed=kinugawa=kamak all made from the same factory.

The only difference is how much you pay for the same thing

When I had my G35 Coupe, I had an Exoticspeed catback exhaust which sounded great and was good quality and had good fitment. It was a stainless steel knock off of the Amuse full titanium exhaust and was fairly popular in the Z/G crowd. Can't comment on any of their other products though.

Basically buy this for $150 although a WRX you see where I am going.
All these no name cheap companies have no innovation, just copy whats there and do a poor job.
You get what you pay for.
