I wonder how much weight this will add? Never been a big fan of convertibles anyways though.... However it looks alright.

Its looks nice, but if there is no turbo/SC added, I will not bight. Rather add bolt-on stuff to add power to my FR-S. But if they add a turbo, I might be trading mine in!

i definitely see Toyota announcing two things at the Geneva Auto Show:
1. The convertible 2. Optional powertrain for the GT86 (as in supercharged or turbo) but will not be available in the US |

i hope that they will not keep the rear seats. i love mustangs and camaros but their convertible versions look like massive boats because how much length the back seats take. Looking at the original post images, the rendered orange frs coupe looks way better than the drawn 4 seater.

Not to add to the arguement about who drives verts, but it does seem like more women drive them than anyone else. The FR-S probably won't be any different, especially if people share my mom's mentality. "It's too sporty of a car not to have a sunroof or convertible."
That being said, I have never really liked convertibles. I think most of them are ugly, top up or down. Though I do like the way it looks in the render. I'm still happy with the coupe, and the only way I'd consider a vert is with a hard top, but even then I don't really need it. My parents might like one though.

Convertibles derived from coupes is never a good thing. More like an after thought.
