I would recommend getting the proper connector from @SVXdc. Just having them shoved in may not last long.

What size is Grommet? looks like perfect location for BRZ Premium people for rearview camera
Grommet was about the size of a dime IIRC.

People,
Do you have a way to save your head unit settings in order to restore after disconnecting power? Fujitsu TEN head unit.

A good camera mounting position that is only about 35mm off center can be made under the badge by filling and levelling the surface with epoxy putty or similar. Test with BluTac beforehand.

You don't need to disconnect the main power to the HU to install a camera and do the bypass.

===========UPDATE============

For newer units, it seems like the new firmware has fixed the bypass trick. I don't have a shot of my current firmware, but I bypassed the VSS, which enables video playback only until GPS get a lock. Once GPS gets a signal lock, video playback is disabled again (blue screen with sound only). The new firmware must be using the GPS speed to trigger the lockout. =(

Instead of using the grommet to route the wire you can pop one of the light housings out and route through the hole, then put the light back. The light housing has a foam dust seal that is thick enough to absorb the wire.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. Wiring under the foam is just for the installation of a rear camera.

It looks great this camera!

My last question relates to install a camera at the back and one on the front of the car.

That camera looks handy. It positions it nearer to the center of the car which is good too. The camera will also be recessed and less obtrusive. Good lateral thinking.

Does it work off 6Volt too? That would mean convenience of integration with the Toyota86 head unit. Does it have a wire to cut to remove the guidelines?

I am not clear from the pics but it looks as if the video cable does not go inside the light.
I could be muddled about this as I have forgotten the exact setup within, but if it does then it may not be necessary to go through the grommet?

I have a rear and front camera. I used a switching box I got off of aliexpress to allow me to hit a button to turn on the front camera whenever I want, and reverse always overrides like usual. It triggers the reverse signal to the head unit in either case to make it switch on.

What do you use the front for? To avoid front bumper scrapes when parking?

Exactly. I've learned to know exactly where the front is eventually, but it's added insurance.

Here's an example of the switch: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/front...675896600.html
