Yup. Catted and resonated front pipe, stock midpipe, ultra quiet track pipe. It's really not even that loud.

Yep, they still do. I actually went the full length to acquire that front pipe a few years ago. It comes with their catless header and a catted and muffled front pipe that has an O2 sensor extension and tap. Absolutely not worth the money if you're anything less than a parts snob like myself.

I'd say if it legitimately doesn't throw a p0420, then it would be worth the peace of mind to know that I'm not being a complete NOx-rolling asshole. Maybe not as good as full stock, but still above the alarm threshold, FWIW. That's the only way I would do an aftermarket header.

Yes. Besides the corrosion resistance and resistance to high temps, parts can be made thinner and thus lighter. I made a twin scroll up pipe for my 470 HP STI out of .031" 321. It has been perfect for years of track days.
It must be welded properly with back-purging. Takes a decent TIG welder to work with it.
