I haven't really done anything too serious, just some sliding in a couple of parking lots. One of them was really fun though because it had a sizable puddle in it. I was with a friend at the time and I hit the puddle doing about 40+ giving it extra gas and turning the wheel hard as I entered the puddle. Now, we thought this puddle was shallow, but as I went through it sideways, it sent up a wave of water big enough to drench my car.

So naturally, I ran through it again from the other direction. I think we emptied that puddle after those two runs. And gave my car a mini bath.

A long time ago in a city far, far away....
I was talking some smack to a friend of mine with a 1970 Buick Skylark with a rocket 350 in it and told him that my HO 302 1971 Ford Ranchero would wipe the pavement with him. Since this problem was not going to be solved by bench racing in the high school auto shop, we set out at lunch to settle this dispute.
We pulled around the back side of the school on a long, two lane straight road that ran along the fields... I lined up in the left lane, he on the right and we set off in a cloud of tire smoke. Somewhere around 110mph and a half car-length behind I decided that I lost and shut it down. We then turned back to the school while I prepared myself mentally for the thrashing I was about to receive at the shop.
Turned out there was an off-duty police officer jogging with his dogs on the side of the road and saw the whole thing. Since his wife worked at the school and my car was not what you could call inconspicuous, it didn't take long to find me.

To sum up the charges;
- Speeding in a school zone
- Driving in excess of 100mph in a 35mph zone (still a school zone)
- Reckless driving (racing) in a school zone
- Driving in excess of 100mph in the oncoming lane
- Bald rear tires
- No front license plate

That was not a fun court appearance let me tell you.

In my new at the time 2005 Mercedes clk320 I was driving down a short cut road (o Ave) they had speed humps added to the road to slow people down I was doing 220km between the humps and slowing to 140km over them when I did not notice that one speed hump was alot higher then the rest had been. I flew in the air a good distance and landed hard on the right front tire it blew out and smashed the 19" AMG rim in to bits the drives front went flat and I was stuck out of cell range in the middle of farm land feeling verry foolish. Had the car less than a month and a huge bill.

I drove over one of those concrete curbs in front of a parking space once. This was in my first car, about four years ago. There was no one parked in front of me, so I figured it'd be okay to just put it in D and drive off. Thankfully I didn't get stuck, and nothing broke, but I was so embarrassed. This was an open lot in the city, so there were probably at least 20-30 people who saw my attempt to use a '93 Camry as a rock crawler. Probably the worst part was paying the parking attendant, who had seen the whole thing. Fortunately he didn't give me any grief, though I fully deserved it.

I went past a cop doing 40 in a 25 zone.

Luckily the cop was talking on his cell phone, and didn't get me. I drive a different way to work now

A day after I got my driver license, I hit the 95 going 100 mph and increasing with my '94 corolla. I was a super newbie and blew past an undercover trooper and he pulled me over. That day I almost crapped myself. He made me wait 15 minutes in my car before coming over to me, asked me why I was speeding and before I could answer asked me for my papers. He walks back and asks me again, I reply and tell him that I just left work and was headed to catch a warm meal with the family. He started telling me on how many deaths happen per mile in this area of the highway and how what I was doing was extremly dangerous. He then walks back as a second cruiser pulls behind his, another 30 minutes of wait time and my heart was that of a rabbit...

He gave me a warning, and I still keep it in my wallet as a reminder of that day.

First person to pick up one of the twins in the East Coast. One week later, I left a coke can in my back seat. It heated up and started to expand...

On my drive to work, it finally exploded. It sounded like effing gunfire. Pulled off to the side of the road and watched helplessly as an entire can of coke seeped into the back seat. :-( Next day I took it to the dealership to get it steamed out.

Adding 10 cans of plastidip on my roof, realizing it was HORRIBLE. And taking it off (had no patience), really fast leaving it dents on the top of my car .

Man what is it with you guys getting off with warnings? I've gotten:
1) 40 in a 40 = driving too fast for conditions (I was going around a corner. Had my car in my own lane under complete control since it had AWD.) I think he was just hating on me because I was 17 at the time.
2) 85 in a 65 = 20 over with bonus super speeder ticket for an extra $250! He wouldn't even take it down to 84 even though he got me at the bottom of a hill (not to mention everybody around me was going 80). I was 22 at the time.
Now I always make sure I have an "escort" in front of me and go no faster than 19 over on the highway. I've never gone more than 5-10 over off-highway. Usually I'm between the limit and 5 over.

15 and over will get your license taken down here in NC. i've just been damned lucky so far

for me, probably doing 144 in my WRX when i had it. just lucky there was no cops, and nobody on the highway.
no, wait....i was street racing a GSR integra (stupid) and we ended up doing 3 runs because the cars were so closely matched. on the 3rd run, there was a minican in my lane on the highway, so i ended up passing him on the emergency shoulder @ about 120. musta scared the shit out of em
