OEM Rear Fog Light Socket
Hi guys, I have a '14 BRZ that I bought used in 2015. It came with the OEM rear fog light. That socket has gotten corroded and now it won't work, so my rear fog is inactive. I am wondering if anyone knows a site where I can just by the socket by itself and splice some wires. I thought any 7440 socket would do but this one on my car has 3 wires where as all the sockets I find at my local parts store have 2 wires. Thanks in advance for any help I receive.

I used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Mine is wired to the front fogs. No need for a third wire.

Very nice, mine has 3 wires though and is wired to the taillights, could I buy that and just splice it to my current set up? I would have an extra wire just hanging around. Pretty much if my socket has 3 wires, does that mean I can only replace it with a socket that has 3 wires? |

7443 = 3 wire
7440 = 2 wire You can shove a 7440 bulb in a 7443 socket and it'll work, you can shove a 7443 in a 7440 socket and it'll work (on just one intensity). Buy whichever you want and wire it however you want, it doesn't matter with these. |

Oh wow, thanks! Didn't even consider that it could have been a 7443 socket. I appreciate this a lot! |
