Some guy at the gas station thought my frs was the new supra lol. Apparently there was a debadged brz there earlier and the owner told him that the car was the new supra. Cmon guys, there's no shame in not being able to afford a new bmw

i generally let people say/think whatever they want.

so if it went like "DUDE, IS THAT THE NEW SUPRA?!?!"

i'd say, "it's a 2014, but it's my version of it"

whatever they do after that is their deal. a car guy would know that supra's weren't made in 2014. a non-car guy isn't going to do anything more than this

Took my BRZ in for an oil change, recall for back up camera/Nav system and to get that annoying clunk sound fixed. (metal bang sound from fire wall, under hood area)
Service Tech: Why'd you replace the springs?
Me: I didn't!
Service Tech: So you bought it used?
Me: NO! That's the way it comes, FROM THE FACTORY!
Service Tech: It does?
Me: Yes.
Service Tech: Oh... Well they made a lot of noise when I raised the car up and then again when I brought it back down.
Me: Did you fix that clunk sound under the hood?
Service Tech: Ya I adjusted the hood.
Drove the car around the block and it's still there so it's booked in again for a week this Monday.

I'm thinking your noise and his noise are the same... Next time tell them theres a clunk in front, don't specify a part.

Yeah I typically do the same thing just to avoid any public arguments but I figured I'd fill him in on the deal with the twins before someone with the same car who's not as nice as me comes along and makes fun of him for his mistake. Besides I enjoy talking about my car a bit too.

I understand that these days your not going to get alot of complements as the car shape is 7 to 8 years old now.
Its always that colour looks awesome, wr blue. I reckon the black ones look pretty mean.
Some old bird thought it was the new mx5.
Old blokes think its a really expensive car.
This car is too hard to get out of, makes me laugh.
Mates ive let drive it all say the same thing, road legal go kart.

The car shape is old, but this is a VERY low production car
and most people have never seen one, or noticed one.
So, when they see mine up close, they are curious.

Subaru? All wheel drive, right?

i disagree. i wanted the brz front end, but had burnt orange been available on the subaru side, it would have edged out yellow(that also wasn't available) for my preference due to the metal flake content.

i picked blue because the only other metal flake option was white, and white is the most boring color in the world.

this car is asking for a bright color.
