NorCal (Bay Area) AutoX Thread!

Maybe more fun than a FR-S. Way more torque anyway!

Man I love my GFs Fiesta in some ways. That 1.6L is a pretty peppy engine. I'm used to flogging my car to get it up to highway speeds. Did the same yesterday in her car, look down and im doing 90 already

Can any of you guys recommend a shop(s) that like to support the autoX or HPDE community? I have to replace my axel again and I'm not sure where I should take my car! I live in the South Bay btw.

I'm not looking for a cheap shop just someone who will be fair and is comfortable working on cars modded to go fast. Not just a repair shop.

It's not south bay, but I recommend Mert at RBMS Auto Care in Hayward. Mert is a great guy and does great work.

Updated links for the SFR SCCA autox event at Crows Landing, this Sunday, August 3rd.

Info: http://www.sfrautox.com/?page_id=162
Pre-reg: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/...1#.U9f5q_ldWF9

Again, the weekend membership for non-SCCA members will be $5 just for this event. If you attend the Crows Landing autox event with the Corvette Club on Saturday the weekend membership will still be good for Sunday.

Pre-registration closes Friday night.

I'll be in attendance for Sunday. I am going to try to steal my mom's canopy.

Just throwing it out there, but I think it could figure out something where each person bring something out. Camping chairs, case of water, few bags of chips?

Mann Engineering or Speed Element maybe? There's always Joey in SF as well.

Are our cars competitive in STX? How about without power mods?

I think @tigermack and @justint5387 could best answer that since they compete in STX locally and in national events, but from what I've seen our cars are competitive in STX. Locally, our cars are probably decently competitive without power mods.
