We don't really advertise it too much but we can get just about any clutch, fuel system parts, radiators, oil coolers, etc for great pricing! Just ask

I'm thinking of running 10-12psi 3500-5500rpm, and then taper it down to 7psi after that. Should make for great midrange torque and response, which is what I'm after.
So you basically want your car to feel like it has a big displacement poor breathing v6??

Yeah, I should run less mid range boost, so it feels like it revs better.

Sure I could run 14psi all the way to 7500. Point is I don't NEED to. I'm happy to run less and look after the motor.

To finish first, first you must finish. My car is being used for drift competitions, not the occasional highway pull. I'm yet to be convinced that anyone has shown the motor is capable of 400whp, unopened, in competition use.

If it can last a season at 300whp, I might push it a bit more. Although, I probably won't.

I would love to be proven wrong, but I don't think 400+ would survive competition.

You realizing that your intentions do not 'look after the motor', right? The power (tq) produced in the midrange at 14psi, which is the rev range you're going to use far more often, is just as potentially damaging as 14psi at 7500rpm. With bulletproof tuning, the peak torque area is going to be the most dangerous for your engine.

You're really not doing your motor, or yourself, any favors by tapering off boost with rpm.

Although partly true, the rods and rod bolts experience the most stress the higher the RPMs climb so by tapering boost it decreases at least part of the equation inducing stress. It is certainly not going to hurt it to do so to prolong engine life. Ideally anything used for continuous competition would be built though.
