Destiny Raid Groups/ General Discussion

I'm not trying to sound negative but I can see where it could come across that way at times. I do enjoy the game and I've definitely got my money's worth out of it. I can also understand that Bungie is trying to keep people engaged and playing so I'm sure that's a big factor in their decisions. Certainly you can't make everyone happy all the time. There's things that frustrate me at times but it's a game and in the end I just move on and try to have fun. I very rarely play solo anymore because I've learned it's just not as fun when as when you play this game with other people. I'm actually starting to want to play some more Crucible because I think it would be a good diversion from the same old stories/strikes I've done multiple times now. Plus, it's challenging and right now I suck at it. In the end I know I will buy the DLC because despite the b!tching it's $20 and I spend twice that just going out to dinner with the girlfriend so $20 for potential hours of entertainment seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I still enjoy this game and it's fun, although this latest news has taken some wind out of my sails. I'm going to keep playing (mainly because I've already payed for the DLC) but if Bungie doesn't stop dropping bombs on us like this out of nowhere I can't see that lasting very long.
@53Driver and @skuts? if you do the raid tonight shoot me an invite, I'll be playing Assassin's Creed in the meantime. I'm hesitant to put too many hours into Destiny right now until we see how all this turns out.

My gripes are solely on the leveling system and Bungie's approach towards that. I just feel they have completely dropped the ball in that aspect.



I spend 90% of my time on Destiny in the Crucible, which I still really enjoy. The way I see it, if they keep making changes I don't like I'll just stay in the Crucible. Besides, these type of games are more fun with friends.

I'd love to do the Raid, but not sure I'll have the time tonight. Weeknights tend to be a hard sell due to time constraints with the girlfriend, dinner, etc. Tonight I'm going to a choir performance that her son is participating in, so not even sure if I'll be able to get on tonight. I have tomorrow off though so maybe we can find some time then.

I was debating doing my Thorn bounty, but now I'm wondering if I should wait till after the DLC? Which version of the gun will I get? 300dmg or 323dmg? I doubt anyone knows lol.

Destiny has the same play style as a MMO. Gameplay is not the defining characteristic of a MMO.

Destiny is not a MMO because at most there is only 16 people playing on a server. Which is not a Massive Multiplayer Online game.

I read DeeJ weekly update and it didn't completely clear the muddy waters, but it would seem that all exotics are upgraded and no old exotics will drop ever. So if you find any exotic after the 9th, it WILL be v2.0.

This also applies to exotic bounties, if you have any DO NOT TURN THEM IN until AFTER the update has dropped! It has been verified that existing exotic bounties will reward v2.0 if turned in after the update.

Given the next DLC is dropping in another 3 months I'm not even sure I'm going to bother with exotics. I'll upgrade my Icebreaker because it's the best gun in the game but the only other exotic I actually use is The Last Word and that's only for PVP so damage wont matter.

I'm wondering what will happen with the v1.0 exotics when the v3.0 ones drop in House of Wolves DLC.
