Right?
On his post from 2:19 he says he has on oxygen sensor code which is why I quoted it. That's where I was getting lost.

The stg 2 OTS tune I started with did not have P0420 disabled. I had to do it manually. So again, I was just confused as usual.

Whats the other one? You will always have one for the OČ sensor check being disables (else your likely throw the CEL). It is possible you just need to drive it more.

I'm confused af now.

So if you have a catless header, and you have an OFT OTS tune, you need to edit the tune to disable the P0420 code, and then your car will show emissions readiness?

I just want to know how to have all emissions readiness when running a catless header and OFT OTS tune lol.

To piggyback on what @ApexEight said.
If you just need to pass smog with the least amount of headaches, put your OEM exhaust system back on and flash back to the factory tune.

After that whole fiasco is over with at the smog station, put your aftermarket parts back on and go back to OFT Stg 2.

Going back to stage 1 or stock will be fine you might throw p0420 code though

Why not get one of those CEL eliminator spacers and flash back to a stock tune. You'll be fine for emissions testing and its only one thing to change vs everyone saying change your whole exhaust.

If you're having an issue with the readiness / code, flashing to stock will fix that issue, but you will probably have the actual CEL at that point.

UPDATE:
this might help some of you.
i have UEL catless headers, + custom exhaust with no muffler only a resonator,
Stage 2 tune does not pass emission checks at all.
Flashed it back to OEM, drove around ~75 miles for drive cycle
I passed emissions.
Tuned back to stage 2,

No need to take headers off, might not be the same for everyone, but it worked for me!

Thank you to everyone that helped

If you flashed back to stock and you're missing an 02 sensor didn't you have a CEL?

If I enable P0420 for the O2 efficiency CEL I don't get it for a couple days sometimes.

Curious if the Smog requirements in Vegas (i think thats where you said you are?) are different than in Cali (like your profile says you are).

Largely because noone i know has ever been able to pass a smog test in California with any sort of cat delete. Even flashing back to stock with a spacer to trick the ECU didnt pass. It definetly doesnt pass visual but some shops honestly dont check.

Wdym "normal" on autos, I've had my 86 for a long time and never got a transmission code. I've also passed OBD2 smog checks with the stage 2 tune.
