What @mike the snake said are two of the ways:

1. Lower compression pistons
2. Some form of additional octane or cooling like E85 or meth
3. A larger turbo

My question would be why are you set on the 350 whp goal? You can do between 300 and 350 whp with the GTX28 no problem and reliably.

I hit 360 dynojet numbers, 93 octane, 12 psi, reliably, with knock control on, several pulls, with crappy dyno fans. But I do have a gtx35

It was over 9,000.

I can't remember it was a while ago at a friends dyno, no sheet. It was more of a preliminary run before we added additional fuel.

It's all good. I was asking because I'm trying to see how these things make power and torque relative to the EJ.

There's plenty of turbo dyno sheets if you search on here that show hp/tq. Most of the turbo vendors have sheets you can compare to EJ.

They make torque similarily to an EJ in that max torque will normally be reached when max PSI is reached. None of us are running those little baby OEM Subaru turbos though so we don't get that big initial low RPM PSI surge and torque spike that most EJ motors have. We are able to maintain max PSI and a flatter torque curve closer to redline with a properly sized turbo. There is a forced induction dyno thread if you want more info. @Ironsquid is one of the few running a GTX35, so his torque plots would look very different than mine with a GT2871R:

Are u idling it for 4hr straight or something? Did u bleed the system? Are the fans coming on? 250° is damn near head gasket failure temps
